Therapy Rooted in Connection & Compassion
Dana Blake is an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC) providing telehealth psychotherapy for children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families throughout California under supervision at SPARE Counseling Ministries. She holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the Townsend Institute at Concordia University Irvine and a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services—Mental Health from California State University, Fullerton.
Dana believes that genuine human connection is at the heart of meaningful change. Her approach is warm, relational, trauma-informed, and grounded in psychodynamic, CBT, and client-centered therapy. She creates a compassionate and collaborative space where clients can explore challenges, build insight, strengthen resilience, and move toward healing, growth, and renewed hope.
Dana has also served as a Process Group Co-Leader and contributed to counseling education and training materials, including Counselor Self-Care and Theory and Practice of Group Counseling by Gerald Corey.
In addition to her counseling work, Dana serves as an Education Specialist supporting students with emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs. Through her work in education, she has developed a deep understanding of emotional regulation, family collaboration, behavior support, and the power of connection in growth and healing.
